Nursing Online License Renewal 

The Department of Health - Health Professional Licensing Administration offers renewals online.

The Online Renewal requires the use of Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.

  • The current Licenses for RNs expire on June 30, 2010. Renewal begins on April 1, 2010.
  • The current Licenses for LPNs expire on June 30, 2009. Renewal begins on April 1, 2009.
Click here to Renew your License Online. If you have a LPN license and want to use a paper renewal, you can download the renewal form here.* All Check payments or Money Orders should be made payable to the DC Treasurer.
 
ATTENTION ALL APPLICANTS FOR A LICENSE, CERTIFICATE, OR REGISTRATION: "The term of a license, certificate, or registration issued or renewed . . .shall be two (2) years or for the balance of the license period, whichever is shorter." Title 17 Chapter 40 § 4006.1

To request your license to be placed on Paid Inactive status, you must complete a paper renewal*.
