The staff of HPLA effectively administers the licensing programs, provides information to the public and licensees, and provides administrative and staff support to the boards, as well as manages the day-to-day business of the boards.

HPLA Goals

  2. To remove unnecessary organizational, procedural, and legal barriers to obtaining and renewing health professional licenses.

  3. To be responsive to the needs of license applicants, existing licensees and other constituents.

  4. To rely to the fullest possible extent on technology to greatly accelerate the licensing process, reduce manual efforts and enhance information dissemination.

  5. To strengthen enforcement and investigative capabilities to protect the public.
